Code of Ethics
The information on this website is presented at no charge to the reader. Our goal is to educate and inform businesses that they need a blog and we show them many free ways that took us thousands of hours to develop ourselves and we share these ideas openly and with no strings attached.
In the event that a person, or a company desires to have a blog but does not have the time or personnel to operate it, then that is were we can help. We not only build the blog, we do all of the market and keyword research, we write the articles, and actually do all of the blogging for you. For this we charge a fee that is available by filling out the Request for Quote form on this website.
We fully support the recent guidelines for compliance issued by the FTC and according to our understanding of the rules we are in full compliance as described below.
We have never supported or advertised products that make outlandish or false claims for results that are clearly false. We never have and never will. To the best of our knowledge we have never even advertised products that might have required the former ‘Safe Harbor’ clause of “Results are not typical, or, results of an average user may vary”, etc. We never have and never will.
As we understand the new Federal Trade Commission (FTC) ruling that was announced Monday October 5, 2009, we are in full compliance as outlined as follows.
We may use various standard practices methods of Internet marketing advertising, in the forms of Affiliate ads of either hyperlink or banner ads, contextual Pay per Click (PPC) or paid reviews.
In the cases of above mentioned advertisements we do not believe they need any further explanation. Clearly if a reader clicks on an ad we might receive a commission or if they make a purchase after having clicked on the ad we more than likely will receive a commission. Commission rates vary all over the place dependent upon the agreement with the advertiser and we have no way of knowing what that rate will be until after the fact.
Suffice it to say that if the reader clicks on an ad we will likely receive some remuneration.
In the event that an advertiser elects to send us sample products for review they must include return shipping labels and containers for return or full instruction on how to return the items. All such agreements with advertisers must be agreed to in advance. We do not accept any unsolicited products for review or as gifts for review of previous or future products and any such unsolicited products will be returned at the advertiser’s expense.
If at any time we do accept products for review in exchange for the review, a full disclosure of such will be posted at the same time as the subject review.
In such cases where we are paid for our opinion of a product that we review we will also fully disclose that with the review.
In the event that a sponsored review shall be made for a fee or other such above described means, our opinion shall be our own, described in our own manner and as results described were in our own case, and that we will not be told what to say by the advertiser.
Ultimately we believe in the same thing that the FTC does and that is the protection of the consumer. We will always remain open and disclose all of our methods of compliance,
In the event that anyone at all believes that we are performing outside of these described guidelines, please by all means contact us and we will do what ever is necessary to make sure that we comply.
